Professional counselling for real-life change

Hello, I'm Steph.

I am a qualified counsellor and educator based in the South of France.  I hold a BA (Hons) Degree in Psychology from Sussex University, a Counselling Diploma and UK Certificate of Education (CertEd) from Plymouth University.

After starting my career in education, I found my passion in counselling and now work privately online with adults and adolescents. I continue to expand my skills through advanced training in Trauma Based Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Bereavement Counselling, Internal Family Systems, and EMDR (DMOKA).

My approach is compassionate, person-centred, and focused on supporting growth and healing. I offer online counselling sessions to make therapy accessible and flexible wherever you are.

A Space to Explore, Understand, and Heal

Counselling offers a calm, confidential space to make sense of your thoughts and emotions.
Together, we explore what’s beneath the surface — finding clarity, acceptance, and the strength to move forward.

Find Clarity and Acceptance

In a calm, supportive space, you can begin to explore thoughts and feelings that have felt heavy or confusing. Together, we work gently toward understanding and self-acceptance.

A Relationship Built on Trust

Trust takes time to build. Through care and genuine connection, we create a safe space where you can speak freely and begin to see things more clearly.

What Brings You to Therapy?

Abuse

Support for recovery from verbal, sexual, physical, or emotional mistreatment — rebuilding safety and self-worth.

Exploring Patterns

Our early relationships shape how we see ourselves and others. Counselling helps explore these patterns and build healthier ways of relating.

Bullying

Helping you process the impact of bullying and restore your sense of confidence and belonging.

Confidence

Strengthening self-trust and resilience to move through challenges with assurance and balance.

Depression

Working through feelings of sadness, fatigue, and loss of motivation to rediscover energy and hope.

OCD

Gently unpacking obsessive thoughts and repetitive behaviours to regain a sense of calm and control.

Anxiety, Stress & Burnout

When life feels overwhelming, it’s easy to feel stuck in worry or exhaustion. Together we’ll understand the causes and find ways to restore calm and balance.

Grief & Loss

Navigating the pain of losing a loved one or meaningful life role with compassion and understanding.

Relationships

Improving communication and understanding in relationships with partners, family, or colleagues.

Self-Development

Exploring patterns, strengths, and possibilities for deeper self-awareness and personal growth.

Self-Harm

Compassionately addressing the emotions beneath self-destructive behaviour and finding safer ways to cope.

Crew Counselling

As a former yacht crew member, and having spent time in the wider industry, I understand the pressures of life onboard.

I was recently interviewed by Yachting Pages on this topic, the piece may help crew struggling with emotional health know they’re not alone and that support is available.
