There is no need
to be alone
Anxiety based difficulties, low self esteem , mild depression and stress affect many of us at some time or another during our lives. I have over 15 years experience in helping people confront and resolve personal problems. Please get in touch to arrange a short phone call, Zoom, Facetime, Skype, or WhatsApp call to discuss your goals.
Online Counselling
While face to face counselling is very effective, it may not always be possible or feasible for some people. The advantages of online counselling mean that even those living in remote areas, those without transport or possibly disabled, may be able to access counselling. It is discrete, delivered at a time that suits in the comfort of your own home.

My Methodology
My training is in person centred counselling and I think the following quote by Carl Rogers sums up how it works.
“When the other person is hurting, confused, troubled, anxious, alienated, terrified; or when he or she is doubtful of self-worth, uncertain as to identity, then understanding is called for. The gentle and sensitive companionship of an empathic stance… provides illumination and healing. In such situations deep understanding is, I believe, the most precious gift one can give to another.”
YOUR NEEDS AND OBJECTIVES
Finding the answers
I am a firm believer that the answers to your questions and searching lie within you but it is hard to examine yourself .

My role is to help guide you through this process and through collaborative reflection and empathy, sense may emerge out of the fog of confusion.

Advice from a yacht crew counsellor married to a captain
As a former yacht crew member, married to a yacht captain, I am well aware of the stresses and pressures assosciated with life onboard.
Yachting Pages is the world's leading superyacht business directory, connecting captains and crew with the products, services, and supplies that they require on board. They support the wellbeing of yacht crew and actively highlight the need to support their mental welfare.
I was recently interviewed by Yachting Pages on the subject, and they have kindly allowed me to link to the piece. Hopefully it may help active crew members who may be struggling with their emotional health. They are not alone and there are people out there who can offer support should they need it.
